Abrasive dust extraction is one of the most common applications of air extraction and filtration systems. Product grinding is part of most manufacturing operations, not only in the engineering sector. In the engineering and automotive industries, the most common application of metal product grinding exhaust is grinding welds prior to painting. Grinding does not have to be a dry process where we are extracting dry dust particles, but in CNC machining grinding using cooling emulsion is often used.
In the manufacture of building components, grinding of brick seating surfaces and many other applications occur. It is typical of all dry grinding processes that the deburred material is largely spread into the working area of the grinding machine. An efficient extraction system ensures that dust particles are drawn into the filter unit, and the health of the workers is protected.
When designing a grinding plant exhaust system, we always try to understand the dimensional layout of the grinding plant. Individual grinding plant workstations vary in size of working space and the correct exhaust air quantities need to be determined. The ideal solution for smaller grinding areas is to use exhausted grinding tables that provide dust extraction downward into the table top and also into the back of the table, away from the grinder. The individual grinding tables are then connected to a central extraction system with a connection to a filter unit. Larger grinding areas or grinding booths are ideally suited for floor extraction with a filtered air inlet at the top of the booth.
We produce special grinding tables with bottom and rear suction
We produce grinding tables with suction with working surface sizes of 1250 mm, 1500 mm, 1750 mm and 2000 mm. The work surface is equipped with bottom suction by means of holes in the work surface. For the most efficient extraction and to protect the worker's health, the tables are also equipped with a rear extraction wall that takes fine dust particles out of the worker's breathing zone. Emphasis is placed on the quality workmanship of the table, together with a high level of protection for the worker from the harmful effects of dust and, last but not least, on the timeless design of the product. Our extraction tables can be supplied together with a G&G Micro JET local filter unit or as a variant for connection to a central dust extraction system.
