PROBLEMS OF THE EXTRACTION PROCESS OF RECYCLING PLANTS
We are addressing the issue of extraction at recycling plants. Material recycling is a waste management process that leads to reuse. In the recycling process, the input material is always technologically separated into unusable waste and the output material, which is used for subsequent cyclical processing. A large amount of dust accompanies virtually the entire recycling process, from the receipt of the material to the packaging of the output product.
The extraction of recycling plants is specific to inhomogeneous dust, especially in municipal waste recycling, which changes according to the seasons. In winter it contains more ash, in summer the ash is minimal. The extraction system must therefore be adjustable for different operating conditions. Among the dust extracted are plastic bags and light fractions of paper packaging, which cause problems in the filter units, clog the filter hopper and can cause overflow of the filter unit. To prevent this, we install rotary separators in front of the filter unit to separate this waste. It then ends up under the separator, where it is discharged into a baler or container, and only the dust particles continue into the filter unit.
The most important thing is to understand the line thoroughly before implementing the extraction. Discuss the function of each machine and design the right suction product and suction performance for it. Nothing must be forgotten, starting from the material intake, filling points, conveyor belt overflows, crushers, classifiers, granulators. Each process section must be suctioned in its own specific way to avoid suctioning product instead of unwanted dust. Even one improperly designed or poorly regulated extraction point can mean a significant loss of the final product. Explosion hazardous environments must not be forgotten. By not being able to define the input material precisely, it must be assumed that explosive material may be sucked out and the whole technology must be adapted to this condition. The humidity of the medium to be extracted must not be forgotten. Especially in winter, condensation of humid air on the filter and hopper walls can occur inside the piping and filter equipment. The condensate causes the rotary feeder rails and the material inside the hopper to freeze. In order to prevent condensation, the filter system and the extraction piping must be thermally insulated and the hopper must be heated.
