Spark separator in the intake pipe for welding and grinding shops

The spark separators are installed in the exhaust pipe before the filter unit. The purpose of the spark separators is to reduce the risk of the filter unit becoming entrenched. The sparks are discharged into a separate container.

The spark separator ensures that sparks, glowing particles, coarse dust or cigarette butts are prevented and significantly reduces the risk of the filter unit catching fire.  The air intake into the separator is put into rotation by means of integrated blades. Sparks and coarse particles are centrifugally discharged through the outlet channel into a separate collection vessel. The spark separators are designed to be installed in a horizontal duct. The separator is attached to the ceiling of the building either by a base bracket or by threaded rods. The separator is supplied together with a waste collection container. For the most effective protection of the filtration equipment against ignition - without the use of automatic fire extinguishing systems - we recommend the combination of the Spark Separator and the sorbent dosing station.
