Our reference for the extraction of the saw blades by means of a transport fan and a cyclone separator with sawdust discharge into a large-capacity container.

 

The system ensures the extraction of wet sawdust from raw wood.

 

Our supply includes the manufacture and installation of the transport fan, cyclone separator, rotary feeder and the under-running steel structure for the container location. The entire assembly is used for single-purpose extraction of the powerful dimensioning saw. The choice of a cyclone separator over a filter unit was made because of the extraction of wet sawdust, which would have caused complications with a filter unit in the form of freezing of the filter media over the winter period. The cyclone separator has constant operating conditions over both the summer and winter seasons. The installation of the filtration unit was provided by our implementation unit G&G Filtration CZ, s.r.o.

 

Cyclone separator options

Due to their lower efficiency in separating finer fractions of dust, cyclone separators are often included as pre-separators before the filtration equipment, which thus relieves them of the larger part of dust. In woodworking machine extraction applications, mostly for wet sawdust, cyclones are used as the only separator without subsequent filtration. Cyclone separators are also used in closed-circuit pneumatic systems or in flue gas ducts to pre-empty sparks before the flue gas enters the filtration system. The cyclones can be arranged in parallel side by side, increasing capacity, or in series, increasing separability. For wet sawdust extraction, the cyclone separators can be used independently, without the use of a filter unit. When installing a cyclone, a cyclone pressure drop of 800 to 1200 Pa should be considered. Depending on the amount and temperature of the extracted air.
