High-pressure extraction from grinders

The power of the central high-pressure filtration unit was dimensioned for the simultaneous grinding of three workers.

 

We have installed two additional connection points for the connection of the cleaning hose, but we do not consider them for the concurrence of the extraction points. The cleaning of the cabin will take place after the grinding work is completed.

 

The vacuum unit is located outdoors at a distance of approximately 20 metres from the cabin. The design of the high-pressure filter unit is in a design corresponding to the explosive dust. The filtration unit is equipped with a pressure resistant housing, an anti-static filter media, a flameless release membrane. The flameless system is used for the outdoor unit only because the unit is located near a road with pedestrian traffic. A B-Flap check valve is installed in the suction line. The suction piping is in a thick-walled pressure-resistant design, and the individual piping components are electrically connected.

The hoses for connecting the grinders are made of anti-static material.

 

The connection to the individual grinding machines is made by automatically operated dampers which react to the air pressure consumption of the grinding machine. When the grinder is started, the flap opens automatically and the extraction takes place. The system is designed for the use of vibratory grinders, which are adapted for suction into the grinding tool through holes in the sandpaper.

 

For the implementation we used Vacuum JET filter units manufactured by us in a reinforced version for vacuum pressure - 70 kPa. The vacuum source is a high-pressure turbine controlled by a frequency converter depending on the maintenance of the required pressure in the suction pipe.

 

Description of the Vacuum JET filter

It is a dry, textile filter device of dust fractions, equipped with automatic regeneration of the filter medium by means of pressurized air. Regeneration of the filter medium is cyclical at set time intervals with the possibility of controlling according to the actual pressure loss. The filtration equipment is manufactured in a version for outdoor installation without the need for roofing. The filtration equipment achieves a high filtration efficiency - up to 99.9%, therefore the filtered air can be returned to the production hall.
